Making a Difference One Child at a Time

A huge THANK YOU to our official UNYI partners ! They are leading the charge to make Model UN a source of education, inspiration and action around the SDGs. Reach out to a club in your region. They will be happy to point you in the direction of UNYI resources and to be a point of connection between MUN clubs!

Interested in becoming and UNYI Partner Club? We ask you to commit to two things:

Host one UNYI workshop/informative session, so that you can educate others outside your club on the UNYI philosophy. This is to help GROW our community.
Run any YOUTH action campaign. Big or small, the action should advance one of the SDGs or ideally, a specific target. This must be documented and shared with us. This is to help INSPIRE our community.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM OUR PARTNERS :-

Part I: Promoting UNYI to Conference Participants and Network-(Mandatory)

Host a dedicated UNYI post on the conference window
In addition to the logo, a description of UNYIs mission and vision and how the conference will be supported that will be included in conference publications.

Part II: Promote SDG Awareness-Choose at least 1 Item

UNYI encourages conferences to find both traditional and innovative ways to promote SDG awareness into your event. Below is a list of ideas that can be incorporated into your conference.

THEME: Pick one of the SDGs to be your driving theme.
AGENDA/DEBATE TOPICS: Have at least ONE debate topic related to the theme. Explore the SDG Targets for debate topics.
KEYNOTE SPEAKER: A keynote speaker should address your selected SDG and make explicit linkages to the SDG, their work and their message.
SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGN: Develop a social media campaign to share your conference’s SDG connection to relevant NGOs and UN campaigns or agencies.

This application must be completed by a MUN Director and may include one student who will act as the primary liaison with UNYI.
